In Sanskrit, there are 2 phrases that teach us reality:- Dhrishti Shrishti and Shrishti Dhrishti.

Dhrishti Shrishti means seeing the world as it is, taking it as it comes; to welcome what is, as reality.

Shrishti Dhrishti means seeing the world as we would like it to be, through our own colored lens, through our fantasies.

The former leads to a peaceful life while the latter leads to suffering.

We should love the world for how it is, not how we want it to be. The world is already a wonderful place, why try to make it something it is not only to cause a disappointment?

    • I agree with you. But, even having the idea that is a wonderful place is your view (Drishti Shristhi). It is seeing the way you want it – “wonderful”. You are seeing it through the lens of “wonderfulness”, another person sees it with the lens of “Corruption”, some other with “Terrorism”. Whatever lens you were to see it, it will appear that way.
